Detailed description of Nature Neem oil

Method of extraction :  The difference of Nature Neem oil when compared to other bulk neem oil available in the market

Cold Pressed Method  - Patented Indian traditional way (Patent No : 1301083) .

Nature neem oil is obtained by cold pressing the seed kernel of good quality seeds. Nature Neem takes care to collect only matured pods that is being dropped from the tree  rather than harvesting directly from the tree that may contain immature seeds. These seeds depulped, washed, dried, decorticated , machine as well as hand graded in order to remove any immature or disease affected seeds. The advantage is the neem oil derived from these type of need kernels contains 3200 ppm of Azadirachtin content against 2200 ppm of Azadirachtin in case of seeds derived from the fruits. Also our experiences indicates that the neem oil produced in this way contains low aflatoxin content , when compared to other  bulk neem oil available in the market produced without any batch control.  Also the extraction is done without heat, chemicals, or petrochemicals solvents. The resulting oil thus retains all of necessary biochemical compounds which would otherwise be lost. Nature neem is thus a pure neem oil without any stabilizers, emulsifiers or additives.

Quality

Nature neem tests the batches for Azadirachtin, Nimbin & Salanin and aflatoxin B1 (below 2 parts per billion). As cleaned well matured seeds are exclusively used for the extraction, the average Azhadirachtin content rises upto 3000 ppm especially during July-September. Our records show that the average content is 2200 ppm. Studies also indicate that long time storage at the point of reception especially at a temperature of above

30°C results in the reduction of azadirachtin content upto 1800 ppm. Along with this, there are other limonoids present in Neem like Salanin, Nimbin and Nimbidin etc which have a synergistic effect in controlling pests.. As the insecticidal property  Neem is attributed  to the combined effects of several hundreds of bio-chemical molecules and neem oil at low azadirachtin content is still effective raw material for different commercial preparations.

Average value of Nature Neem oil recorded immediately after the extraction

Azadirachtin  - min 3200 ppm (0.35%)

Nimbin          - min 4000 ppm (0.40%)

Salanin          - min 6000 ppm (0.60%)

Some commonly available emulsifiers that can be used are hand washing and dish washing liquid soaps, soap oil, eco-friendly detergents, soapnut powder or any other organic emulsifier can be  recommended.

How to prepare a bio pesticide or organic pesticide using Nature Neem oil

· Take One Lt of Water in a container.

· Add 10-15 ml of liquid soap or suitable emulsifier to this one Lt of water and agitate well until the soap /emulsifier gets completely dissolved in water.

· To this solution add 50 ml of Nature Neem oil and agitate well until a pale yellowish white emulsion is formed.

· Add this prepared emulsion to 9 Lt of water in a bucket and stir thoroughly.

· Now Eco—friendly Powerful 10 Lt Nature Neem oil Bio Pesticide is ready for Spray.

Other uses

Neem oil is used as raw material in the commercial preparation of the following  known products. Neem oil is an excellent moisturizing oil and contains various compounds that have insecticidal and medicinal properties. It is used in making shampoos, toothpaste, soaps, cosmetics, mosquito repellants, creams and lotions, pet products like pet shampoo, etc. It also contains vitamin E, other essential amino acids and some percentages of fatty acids. Neem oil is used for treating many skin diseases viz. eczema, psoriasis, skin allergies, etc. and is being studied for making contraceptives in India. A compound found in Neem Oil and neem leaves extract- 'Salanin', has been proven to be safer but more effective insect repellant than DEET. Neem provides protection from not only mosquitoes, but also from biting flies, sand fleas and ticks.

Neem oil can be added to regular shampoo for controlling itchy scalp and dandruff. For pets, neem oil can be added to pet shampoo to kill ticks and fleas or the area where the pets usually use can be treated with neem oil spray.

Precaution of storage

Store neem oil in a cool dark place, away from sunlight. Do not store above 46°C (110°F) and below 5°C (41 °F). When subjected to repeated freezing and thawing, Neem Oil will deposit a thick black viscous layer called stearin, at the bottom of the drums and containers. It is recommended not to allow Neem Oil to solidify and thaw, repeatedly.  If neem oil solidifies due to low temperatures, thaw it gradually (for example putting in bottle in warm water below 95°F) . Putting the bottle in very hot water may reduce the effectiveness of oil.
